As an Assistant Manager I was responsible for:
• Meeting company sales goals by utilizing sales techniques and communicating product knowledge to the customer; recommend merchandise selections and help customers locate or obtain merchandise based on their needs and desires.
• Performing various sales and register transactions including ringing purchases, processing of cash or credit payments and counting money.
• Maintain awareness of customers to increase service levels and reduce security risks; remain current on policies regarding payment, exchanges, customer service, security practices, and other applicable operations.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions; maintain pricing and visual standards.

• Partnering with the Store Managers to identify each individual store's needs.

• Reviewing Applications, Completing Interviews, and working with Store Managers to create/submit job offers,
• Conducting Foundations (orientation and training class) for all District New Hires.

AutoZone – Greensboro, NC
As the Store Manager for the High Point Rd location I was responsible for:
• Daily Opening and Closing Tasks: reviewing returns, adjusting payroll due to business and or tasks to be completed. Counting/Reconciling registers, ensuring all paper work is filed correctly.
• Creating Weekly schedules for DIY and Commercial.
• Planograms: movement of product, shelves, setting new labels and marketing.
• Inventory Matrix: Weekly Audit of all products that were out of stock on the sales floor verses what Quantity On Hand should be.
• Weekly Cycle Counts: Product on shelf verses system Quantity On Hand.
• Monthly Overstock Re-scan: Empty in system then re-scan each location to ensure count is accurate and up to date.
• Hiring: Identifying needs per staffing model and current staff availability. Review Applications, perform Interviews, submit job offers and complete all on boarding steps.
• Review monthly P and L for DIY and Commercial: look for areas of opportunity and create Action Plan to gain improvement.
In addition to being a Store Manager, I also taught the Foundations classes (orientation) for our District.

At Carters I was the Acting Store Manager for Oshkosh and the Presentation Manager for Carters. I was responsible for all Marketing and Merchandising where I learned to make quick creative decisions in order to get the product to the floor, remerchandise due to sell through, place marketing, set the blue print and accurately price all merchandise for the customer.

As the Operations Manager I created a Loss Prevention Quiz and Key Points as a tool to aid in the ongoing training of our associates. This proved to increase awareness and understanding about the direct impact that Loss Prevention can have on our store.

As the Loyalty Leader I worked to create excitement around the program and we showed significant improvement in our Loyalty percentage rates.

As a Store Manager I was able to grow as a Merchandiser through planning and mapping all floor sets. This allowed me to make quicker remerchandising decisions and maximize product on the floor which lead to an increase in the UPT.

I led by example, always asked for feedback and used accountability to produce results. This leadership led us to not only improve greatly but to consistently be at the top of our District in Loyalty and exceed denim goals.
